Renon launches ‘Banner’, a swappable lithium-ion battery platform for electric tricycles

Commenting on the launch of the new Banner platform, Aditya Vikram, Director, Renon India said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of Banner, our latest 3EV replaceable battery platform. The performance of the battery is next level. Notable features such as BMS with Can 2.0, customizable zero capex design, configuration of 48V 258AH have been carefully designed to extend the service life of the target 3EV. Banner batteries range from 4 kWh to 12 kWh. The batteries are equipped with a three-layer safety net for thermal runaway events with fuses and phase-change materials, Renon said. The battery pack is IP67 rated to help withstand harsh weather conditions and extend battery life. The series also features smart BMS, CAN2.0, 3C grade LFP battery, Analytics On for SoH estimation, zero CAPEX design for customization and special materials for battery breathing.

Founded in 2019, Renon has been a supplier of energy solutions to automotive and non-automotive businesses. The company launched its Groot series of lithium-ion batteries for electric two-wheelers earlier this year. The company is working towards a manufacturing capacity of 350+ MWh as it aims to produce more than 3,000 battery packs per month.The manufacturer’s goal is to ¥Revenue was 400 million at the end of the financial year.
