Royal Enfield reported its wholesales for November 2022, with the company selling a cumulative (domestic + export) of 70,766 units, a 37% increase from the 51,654 units sold in the same period last year. The two-wheeler giant continued its strong growth momentum, posting record sales in October this year as it surpassed the 80,000-unit mark.

Commenting on the sales performance, Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said: “As our motorcycles continue to perform well after the festive season in India, we are enhancing our product portfolio and The Rider Mania was launched earlier this month. The initial response from consumers around the world has been excellent, leading us to believe that this motorcycle will have a strong presence in the global cruiser market.”
Royal Enfield’s domestic sales of 65,760 in November 2022 were up 47% from 44,830 in November 2021. Exports fell 27 percent, with 5,006 vehicles shipped overseas last month compared with 6,824 a year earlier.

In the under 350 cc category, Royal Enfield sold 65,956 units, up 52 per cent on the 43,346 sold in the same period last year. The new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the new generation Classic 350 and Meteor 350 have been the growth drivers for the brand. Interestingly, the 350-600 cc category saw a 42% drop in sales, with 4,810 units sold in November this year compared to 8,308 sold in November last year.

November is also a crucial month for Royal Enfield as the brand unveils the new Super Meteor 650 at the EICMA motorcycle show in Italy. Two weeks later, the brand made its Indian debut at Rider Mania 2022 in Goa. The model is scheduled to launch in January next year. Last month, the Royal Enfield Himalayan also got new color and feature upgrades for the 2023 model year.
