1. Suzuki Burgman Street EX – new color

The Suzuki Burgman Street EX doesn’t have any changes in design, and the bulky, big scooter shape is still the scooter’s forte. What’s new you’re getting is a color option for the EX version, offering three new paint schemes – Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No. 2, Metallic Royal Bronze and Metallic Matte Black No. 2. The plastic around the apron is painted black and the footrests are a nice contrast to the model. The design highlights of the Burgman Street EX continue to be the bulky front profile, the fly screen at the top, the comfortable stepped single seat and the one-piece armrest.

2. Suzuki Burgman Street EX – Larger rear tires

A notable upgrade to the Suzuki Burgman Street EX is the addition of larger and wider rear tires. The manufacturer has upgraded the standard 10-inch wheels to 12-inch alloys. That should help make the model less awkward in its rear three-quarter look. The new 100/80-section tires promise to improve urban riding efficiency and should also be more stable at higher speeds.

3. Suzuki Burgman Street EX – New EASS Technology

The Suzuki Burgman Street EX is powered by a proven 124 cc single cylinder air-cooled engine delivering 8.4 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP) technology, which further improves the vehicle’s fuel efficiency, while the new Easy Auto Start-Stop (EASS) function allows for smarter fuel intake. EASS automatically switches off the engine to reduce idling, which helps reduce consumption and emissions, especially in stop-and-go traffic.

4. Suzuki Burgman Street EX – Features

In terms of functionality, the Burgman Street EX gets Suzuki Ride Connect via a Bluetooth-enabled digital console. This feature brings many conveniences such as route planner navigation, incoming call, SMS and WhatsApp alerts as well as speeding warning, phone battery level display and estimated time of arrival. The scooter also features LED headlights and taillights, 21.1 liters of under-seat storage capacity, silent start and a USB charging socket.

5. Suzuki Burgman Street EX – Price vs Competitors

The Suzuki Burgman Street is already at the high end of the 125 cc scooter segment, and all the upgrades introduced by the new EX variant do warrant a higher price tag. This model sells for ¥11.2 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it a whole ¥19000 more expensive than the standard version with bluetooth. At this price point, the Suzuki Burgman Street EX can compete with the Aprilia SXR 125, Vespa ZX 125, TVS NTorq XT and others. It also features premium electric scooters such as the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak and the upcoming Simple One.
