Suzuki sees 23% sales jump in April 2023 on the back of Access 125 and Gixxer

Suzuki Motorcycle India has released its sales figures for April 2023, the company has sold a cumulative (domestic + export) of 88,731 units last month. The manufacturer’s sales rose 23.3 percent year-on-year, compared with 71,987 units in the same period last year. The company sold 67,259 vehicles domestically and 21,472 vehicles for export last month.

In terms of domestic sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India recorded a 23.8% year-on-year growth, surpassing the 54,327 units sold in April 2022. Exports were up 21.59 percent from the 17,660 units shipped overseas in April last year. Suzuki sales continued to be supported by consistent performers such as the Access 125, Burgman Street 125 and Gixxer series, among other products.

Commenting on the sales performance, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “Suzuki Motorcycle India continues to grow at a double-digit rate. In April 2023, we achieved a significant year-on-year growth of 23.3%. This stable The sales performance is the result of the growing demand for Suzuki two-wheelers in India and overseas markets. Apart from the sales growth, April 2023 has proven to be a considerable step forward for the company as we have managed to achieve The 7 millionth production milestone since the company was founded in 2019. This month, we also introduced a new color for the third-generation Hayabusa.”

April 2023 has been a largely successful month for Suzuki India. In contrast, the two-wheeler segment continues to be dominated by Hero MotoCorp, which sold 396,000 units last month, though volumes fell slightly. Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) remains the second best-selling two-wheeler maker in the country, selling 374,000 units last month.
