Tata Motors has showcased its Avinya EV concept at Auto Expo 2023, following its debut last April. Influenced by catamaran designs, the Tata Avinya EV concept has emerged as the automaker’s new electric vehicle, heralding a sleek, debonair premium MPV. The car is said to enter production in 2025. Tata Motors claims that a third-generation EV architecture has been developed, equipped with next-generation connectivity and advanced driver assistance systems.
Furthermore, the third-generation EV architecture underpinning the Tata Avinya concept is said to support ultra-fast charging technology, enabling the car to provide a range of 500 kilometers and draw enough power from the grid in less than 30 minutes. Tata claims that the Avinya EV concept embodies and emphasizes the vision and limitless possibilities that the Gen 3 architecture will offer.
Talking about its design, the Tata Avinya looks sleek and it incorporates a fresh design philosophy that will be reflected in the brand’s next-generation electric vehicles. Tata Avinya’s LED light bar has a sleek, sharp look that spans the entire front and rear width of the car. The light bar and the front form a T-shaped brand logo. Moving to the side profile, the car looks smooth without any creases. Butterfly doors add more style to the electric concept MPV, hinting at a spacious cabin.
The name Avinya comes from Sanskrit and stands for innovation. The cabin is said to focus on comfort and roominess as well as advanced tech assistance features that will write a new language of mobility. The automaker claims that the Avinya’s cabin is free from the constraints of traditional segmentation. It also claims that the Tata Avinya EV will ensure an extremely premium yet simple and calm customer experience with its cabin.
