Tata Motors starts deliveries of Tiago EV

Tata Motors has announced that they have started delivering Tiago EV in 133 cities. The first batch of 2,000 Tiago EVs has been delivered. Tata Motors received 10,000 bookings for the Tiago EV in a single day, making it the fastest-booked EV in India. So far, the local manufacturer has more than 20,000 reservations for its electric hatchback.

Tata Motors supplies two battery packs for the Tiago EV. The smaller one measures 19.2 kWh and has a claimed range of 250 km, while the larger one uses 24 kWh and has a claimed range of 315 km.

Tiago EV starting price ¥849 thousand, rising to ¥1.179 million. Both prices are ex-showroom prices. It comes in four variants – XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. As of now, the only competitor to the Tiago EV is the Citroen eC3.
