Tata Motors has announced that they are discontinuing the entry price for the Tiago EV.The electric hatchback starts now ¥869 thousand, rising to ¥1.199 million, so the price went up ¥20,000. The Tiago EV was the fastest-booked EV in India with 10,000 bookings on the first day and 20,000 within a month. The brand has also started deliveries of the Tiago EV. As of now, the first batch of 2,000 Tiago EVs has been delivered.

Tiago EV offers two battery pack options. The smaller one has 19.2 kWh and a claimed range of 250 kilometers, while the larger one has 24 kWh and a claimed range of 315 kilometers.

The smaller battery pack has a 45 kW electric motor producing 110 Nm of torque. It can hit 60 km/h in 6.2 seconds. Then there’s the larger battery pack, paired with a 55 kW electric motor that produces 114 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.

Tiago EV comes in four models – XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. As of now, the only competitor to the Tiago EV is the Citroen eC3. However, Citroen has yet to announce pricing for the eC3.
