Citroen recently revealed an electric version of the C3 hatchback. While pricing has yet to be announced, most of the information about the Citroen eC3 has been revealed. Pre-orders for the eC3 will open on January 22, and it will directly compete with the Tata Tiago EV, the only electric hatchback currently on sale in the Indian market. So here is a comparison between the two.
Tata Tiago EV vs Citroen eC3: The exterior
In terms of appearance, the two electric hatchbacks are very similar to the internal combustion engine models. Citroen didn’t make any changes to the eC3’s exterior, while Tata Motors did make some changes to the Tiago EV to make it look slightly different from the standard Tiago. It gets an exclusive paint scheme that Tata reserves exclusively for their EVs. Additionally, there are blue accents, different wheel arches, and a different front bumper that help identify the Tiago EV.
Tata Tiago EV vs Citroen eC3: Battery pack
Citroen supplies the eC3 with a 29.2 kWh battery pack. Tata Motors supplies two battery packs for the Tiago EV. There are mid-range and long-range. The Medium Range has a 19.2 kWh battery, while the Long Range has a 24 kWh battery.

Tata Tiago EV vs Citroen eC3: Charging times
When using a 15A outlet, the Citroen eC3 needed 10 hours and 30 minutes, the Tiago EV Medium Range 6 hours 54 minutes and the Long Range 8 hours 40 minutes. When using DC fast charging, it took 57 minutes for the three cars to charge from 10% to 80%.
Tata Tiago EV vs Citroen eC3: Driving range
Citroen claims a range of 320 kilometers. The Tiago EV is very close to the Long Range version with a claimed range of 315 km, while the Medium Range has a claimed range of 250 km.

In terms of performance, the Tiago EV Long Range leads with a 0-60 km/h acceleration time of 5.7 seconds. The Tiago EV Medium Range takes 6.2 seconds, while the Citroen eC3 takes 6.8 seconds.
Tata Tiago EV vs Citroen eC3: Specifications
The electric motor in the Tiago EV Medium Range produces 61 hp and 110 Nm of torque, while the Long Range variant makes 75 hp and 114 Nm. On the other hand, the Citroen eC3 produces 57 hp and 143 Nm.
