Tesla Cybertruck spotted again in camouflage as production nears

Will the Tesla Cybertruck offer a factory-installed camouflage wrap? It’s a matter of finding a solid footing, as a camouflaged-wrapped Tesla Cybeetruck prototype has once again been spotted in the wild. This is the second time in two weeks that a Cybertruck prototype disguised as a package has been spotted, sparking speculation. The prototype was spotted as the Cybertruck is edging closer to its long-awaited production start slated for September 2023, much delayed since its debut in 2019.

It’s unclear why Tesla decided to use the camouflage wrap on this particular test mule. Especially when the automaker is known for not using camouflage wraps or paint, which is in stark contrast to the rest of the global auto industry. There have been multiple speculations about the Cybertruck prototype wrapped in a camouflage cover. One is that the automaker plans to launch a camo version of the Cybertruck, and the other is speculation that the EV company is trying to draw more attention to electric pickups. However, Tesla has remained silent on this.

When the first camouflaged Tesla Cybertruck prototype was spotted in Palo Alto, USA a few days ago, Tesla CEO Elon Musk made the announcement in a few tweets opinion. He wrote, “Lucky we used camouflage lol.”

The electric pickup truck debuted in November 2019, when Musk announced that base rear-wheel-drive models would start at $39,900, while AWD models would start at $49,000. Since then, a lot has changed, and Cybertruck production has been delayed considerably. Now the automaker’s website does not show Cybertruck pricing and technical information on its official website. This leaves potential customers wondering how much the final product will actually cost.
