The US electric carmaker’s flagship model, the Tesla Model S Plaid, has reportedly arrived in Europe. Teslarati claimed in a report that deliveries of the Model S Plaid have already begun. The Tesla Model S Plaid owner in Germany posted a picture of the Model S certificate of conformity, which ensures that the goods can circulate freely in Europe, the report said. The certificate also comes with important information about the product.

Speaking of the Tesla Model S Plaid for the European market, it can reach a top speed of 300 kilometers per hour. In addition, they come standard with a trailer hitch. When Tesla launched the Model S Plaid in the US, its top speed was limited to 262 km/h. Later, Tesla increased the top speed to 281 km/h via an over-the-air (OTA) software update. The update comes on the heels of another software release that brings Track mode to the U.S.-market Model S Plaid.
The European documents also show that the Tesla Model S Plaid will have a top speed of 322 km/h on the continent. European filings also reveal that the Tesla Model S Plaid will require an optional carbon-ceramic brake package that will be available later this year for $20,000.
When it comes to towing facilities for the Tesla Model S Plaid, Europe is nothing like the US. Vehicles not officially approved to tow in the U.S. may be approved in Europe, the document reveals. Interestingly, the US version of the Tesla Model S Plaid does not come with any trailer hitches. However, the trailer hitch, which is approved in Europe to tow about 3,500 pounds, is a factory fitment, the report says.
