Tesla will begin hiring for Cybertruck-specific positions in early November 2022. Later, more positions were added for the same project last November. Now, the electric automaker has dramatically increased the number of available jobs ahead of starting production of its all-electric pickup, the auto brand’s most hyped project.

Open manufacturing positions related to the Tesla Cybertruck listed on the electric vehicle company’s career page include positions in stamping, body shop, battery-related positions, drive units and other departments, the report said.

The report further states that some of these positions, such as dimensional engineer and senior equipment engineer, have been available since late last year. It’s unclear, however, whether Tesla is hiring more than one person for these positions, or has only now managed to fill them.

Interestingly, this is just part of the automaker’s recent hiring spree. The U.S. automaker has been on a hiring spree over the past few months. Recruitment has been done across its various departments. According to reports, Tesla will increase its headcount by 22% in 2022. The company is reportedly hiring nearly 29,000 new workers in 2022.

Speaking of the Tesla Cybertruck, the electric pickup is said to be entering limited production sometime this year. Later in the first quarter of 2024, the automaker aims to ramp up Cybertruck production.
