The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S is priced at Rs 7.1 lakh in India.check the details

The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S is the two-wheeler maker’s fourth offering, and it uses a delightful 659cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. On the 2023 Vulcan S, the electric motor produces 59.9 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 62.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,600 rpm. The motor is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Visually, the 2023 Vulcan S is unchanged. The Cruiser continues with its single-pod headlights, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, black exposed frame, and low stance. The curved single-seater further adds to the typical cruiser look, while the compact exhaust and alloy wheels really add to the modern look.

In terms of hardware, the 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S uses 41mm telescopic forks at the front with 130mm of travel and an offset monoshock at the rear with preload adjustability and 80mm of travel. Braking performance comes from a single 300mm disc at the front and a 250mm disc at the rear. Other highlights include a 14-litre fuel tank, 235kg curb weight, a low 705mm seat height, 130mm ground clearance, 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, and dual-channel ABS as standard.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S has been around for a while and has come to India via the Complete Knockdown (CKD) route. This bike is a direct competitor to the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, which is almost half the price. The two bikes also have different characteristics and performance figures. Interestingly, Kawasaki recently re-launched the Eliminator as a 400 cc cruiser that will sit below the Vulcan S. The Kawasaki Eliminator is likely to arrive in India at a later date and will rival the Super Meteor 650 in terms of pricing.
