Electric two-wheeler startup Komaki has launched an updated version of its Ranger electric cruiser, priced at ¥185,000 (ex-showroom). The Komaki Ranger electric cruiser has now received a series of upgrades, notably more functionality and range, as well as cosmetic enhancements. The Ranger e-cruiser is the only product of its kind in the electric two-wheeler segment. It is also positioned at the high end of the electric motorcycle segment.

Upgrades for the 2023 Komaki Ranger electric cruiser include larger wheels and a new paint scheme with chrome accents. This model also features an upgraded 7-inch TFT screen with onboard navigation. Additionally, the company claims the Cruiser can travel 200-250 km on a single charge, while the additional battery storage capacity has been increased to 50 liters.

Commenting on the updated Ranger, Gunjan Malhotra, Komaki Electrical Division Director, said: “For commuters who prefer a smoother, premium commute experience with a rugged and stylish expression, the updated Komaki Ranger is the perfect choice for easy riding “With the all-new Ranger, we have made a permanent place in history by creating India’s first-ever electric cruiser. Making the Ranger premium is one of our main focuses when it comes to upgrading premium EVs; however, we also Ensuring that the vehicle can be used in all segments of the Indian market.”

The 2023 Ranger also gets preload adjustment on the rear suspension and gets a 4.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack via the Smart Battery app. The electric scooter also comes with park assist, a mobile charging port, side-stand sensors, and dual-sound pipes that look like exhaust pipes with a “flame effect” and illuminated tailpipe tips. There’s also a sound system and Bluetooth connectivity.

Komaki claims the Range Electric Cruiser will have a top speed of 80km/h, while a charge time of four hours from 0-90% will be charged.
