The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R supersport has been launched in Europe, and the motorcycle has finally been upgraded to meet the latest Euro5 emission standards. The popular middleweight supercar features significant upgrades from its predecessor, including changes to the engine, exterior and performance. The upgraded Ninja ZX-6R is now eligible to return to the Indian market. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R continues with the same 636 cc inline-four engine, which now features a revised cam profile to improve performance in the low rev range and enhance the engine’s emissions-reducing characteristics. According to Kawasaki, the ZX-6R’s injectors have been fine-tuned to improve efficiency, allowing for better mixed combustion of fuel and air, which further makes the motorcycle “greener” than before.

Kawasaki also updated the 5.09-liter airbox for a more efficient fuel-air mixture. This includes a revised intake funnel design that helps improve low-rpm performance. The piston skirts are now molybdenum coated to reduce friction, and connecting channels have been added between the cylinders. The header and collector tube layouts have also been revised.
Other upgrades include the Showa Independent Functions fork on the front of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R – large piston with preload adjustability on the left fork cap and compression and rebound on the right. The rear also features a Showa monoshock with full adjustability. Braking performance comes from new Nissin radially mounted opposed four-piston monobloc calipers. These are paired with twin 310mm stainless steel front discs, while the rear features a radial-pump master cylinder with a single caliper and 220mm disc brakes. The alloy wheels are shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres.

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R comes standard with a quickshifter, traction control and power mode select, housed in front of the electronics. There’s also the Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Braking System. The motorcycle also features a new 4.3-inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike will come with three riding modes – Sport, Road and Rain.
In terms of visual changes, the 2024 Ninja ZX-6R gets a new front cowl, LED headlights, turn signals and a windshield. The fairing has also been slightly revised.
