The Chinese EV maker has rolled out its 300,000th EV since launching its first model in 2018. The automaker’s 300,000th vehicle is the blue NIO ET5 midsize sedan, produced at the automaker’s second advanced manufacturing facility. In addition to announcing the achievement, Nio also said it intends to launch five new electric vehicles in the first half of next year. Currently, NIO has a total of six electric vehicles, including ET5 sedan, ES8 flagship SUV, ESD6 SUV, EC6 coupe SUV, ES7 SUV and ET7 flagship sedan.

The automaker hit the 200,000th vehicle production milestone in April this year. As a result, it took the automaker less than eight months to produce its latest 100,000th premium electric car. This shows how the EV maker is growing significantly. The automaker claims it has sold a cumulative 273,741 electric vehicles by the end of November 2022.
The electric carmaker’s achievement comes as it expands its business both in numbers and geography. As part of its overall growth strategy, the Chinese car company is expanding its presence in different countries in Europe. The automaker recently launched the ET7 electric car in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.
In order to expand its business globally, Nio aims to operate in more than 25 countries and regions by 2025. For business expansion, Nio is also focusing on developing EV charging infrastructure and a network of battery swap stations, while launching its EVs into new markets.
India is a major automotive market with huge growth potential for EVs, and it might be interesting to see NIO launch EVs here. However, the brand has not revealed any related plans yet.
