Earlier this year, Ola Electric announced multiple battery options for the S1 Air and S1 electric scooters. The company has now quietly discontinued the 2 kWh battery option on its entry-level e-scooters.With this, the Ola S1 Air will now only come with a 3 kWh battery pack, priced at ¥110,000, compared to the previous starting price ¥84,999 (ex-showroom). Likewise, the Ola S1 is now only available with a 3 kWh battery pack.
The biggest demand Ola Electric has received appears to be for the 3 kWh battery pack option on either model, which makes it easier to decommission other smaller capacity packs. Customers pre-ordering the discontinued model will be automatically upgraded to the available 3 kWh model. Meanwhile, buyers can cancel their reservations entirely and request a full refund.
