The redesigned taillights of the Tesla Model 3 facelift are partially exposed.learn more here

Tesla is developing a facelifted version of its most affordable electric Model 3, dubbed “Project Highland.” The updated Model 3 was once again field tested on public roads, and this time, the prototype showed off its taillights, which have been completely redesigned compared to the current model. Wrapped in a black exterior, the Tesla Model 3 Highland appears to have dropped changes such as the horizontal amber light. Interestingly, a facelifted version of the Tesla Model 3 Highland, or EV, has been spotted just as the automaker’s CEO has just confirmed that Tesla will launch its vehicles in India.

A Twitter user posted an image of the prototype. The image, which partially shows the electric compact sedan’s left-hand taillight, confirms the taillight’s redesign approach. The image suggests that the redesigned taillights will feature vertical amber LED indicators, replacing the horizontal lines that currently exist in the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. The image also suggests that the rear diffuser of the updated Model 3 takes inspiration from the Tesla Model S. This may have been tweaked for better aerodynamic efficiency, which may slightly increase overall range, especially during high speed driving.

This isn’t the first time a facelifted version of the Tesla Model 3 has been spotted testing on public roads. Previous spy shots also showed redesigned LED headlights. The updated Model 3’s LED headlights will be sharper and sleeker than the current model’s. Inside the cabin, the EV will also feature an updated steering wheel, and a gear selector similar to the Model S and Model X.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said the automaker is working on two different vehicles. One of these could be an updated version of the Model 3, while the other could be the long-awaited Cybertruck.
