Tesla has unveiled a new Model S lattice track kit that enables the electric sedan to reach a top speed of 322 km/h.

The Tesla Model S Plaid Track Package doesn’t just improve the electric car’s performance through software upgrades. The package also features new “zero-gravity” wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes that help improve the car’s overall performance. Overall, the Track Package is designed to make electric cars perform better on track and regular roads.

Tesla has said the performance boost kit will cost between $15,000 and $20,000 and will be available in June. The cost of the kit will depend on what the owner chooses from the component kit. The automaker says the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Package includes forged aluminum wheels, track tires and brake fluid, new silicon carbide rotors, and one-piece forged calipers with high-performance pads.

Tesla revealed that a carbon-ceramic brake kit with new brake fluid costs $15,000, rising to $20,000 if the package includes wheels and tires. It further says that the zero-gravity wheels with Goodyear tires can be purchased separately for $6,000, saving owners about $1,000 on the complete kit.

Tesla initially teased the kit with a short Twitter video, adding it to the official online accessories store. The electric automaker introduced an upgraded brake package in November 2021 as a $20,000 add-on for the Model S Plaid. So, with the latest update, the price has been dropped by $5,000. Tesla also notes that the ceramic brakes are not compatible with the 19-inch Tempest wheels, but are compatible with the 20-inch Zero-G and 21-inch Arachnid wheels.
