Mahindra recently auctioned off its one-off super-exclusive XUV400 electric SUV, which sold for up to ¥1.75 million. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra handed over the keys of this special edition XUV400 EV to Karunakar Kundavaram from Hyderabad. The automaker claims the proceeds of the auction will go to charity. Compared to the standard XUV400, the special edition electric SUV features a number of unique styling elements that set it apart.
The Mahindra XUV400 One-of-one Edition was designed by Pratap Bose, Mahindra’s Chief Design Officer, in collaboration with fashion designer Rimzim Dadu. To commemorate the collaboration, it received a “Rimzim Dadu X Bose” badge and wore an arctic blue theme. The SUV also features a copper Twin Peaks emblem with a blue outline. However, the SUV retains the same basic silhouette as the standard version.

The Mahindra XUV400 is the brand’s first pure electric SUV, and it will compete with rivals such as the Tata Nexon EV and Citroen e-C3. It’s available in five different colors, Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Naples Black, and Infinity Blue, as well as a Satin Copper two-tone option.
The SUV claims to offer up to 418 liters of boot space. The XUV400 EL is powered by a 39.4 kWh IP67 certified battery pack, while the XUV400 EC features a 34.5 kWh battery pack. The electric SUV comes with a standard warranty of three years or unlimited kilometers. Additionally, Mahindra is offering an eight-year or 160,000km warranty on the battery and motor.
Pre-orders for the electric SUV open on January 26. The automaker claims it has received more than 15,000 reservations to date. It also said deliveries of those reservations would take place in about seven months.
