Intense competition in the electric vehicle space in China has forced manufacturers to conceive and develop some very unique products to attract and attract potential customers. Among the long list of local electric vehicle (EV) players is a brand called Zeekr, which is owned by Geely, which also owns Volvo. Zeekr recently launched the ZeekrX on the market here, promising an attractive drive in a relatively affordable package.
The ZeekrX is a compact crossover with a striking appearance, highlighted mainly by the sharp lines of the front and rear and the subtly interplaying lighting system.The price starts from about 189,800 yuan ¥At 2.1 million, the ZeekrX also boasts a well-appointed cabin with a 13-speaker Yamaha sound system, an adjustable center console and electric front doors.
But the decidedly unique highlights of the ZeekrX cabin are a removable refrigerator and a display unit on the vehicle’s B-pillar that displays vehicle-related information. For many, the biggest feature highlight is a dedicated pet mode. This is basically maintaining an optimal interior temperature for pets in case the vehicle is stationary and the owner is not inside.
Now, while pet owners are likely to be generous with this feature, the ZeekrX also promises engaging drives and solid range, though specifics on the specs haven’t been revealed yet. The EV will launch in China in June and may even choose foreign markets in the future.
