Triumph India has announced that they will be launching the 2023 Street Triple 765 collection on June 16th. The manufacturer will launch Street Triple R and Street Triple RS in the Indian market.Prices are expected to start around ¥1 million and ¥1.15 lakh respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom prices. Triumph will not launch a Moto2 version in India. Triumph has started taking pre-orders for the new motorcycle.
The Street Triple collection has been extensively updated. It’s completely new in the design, ergonomics and even the engine department. There are new tank guards and a muscular 15-litre tank. Triumph kept the bug-eye LED headlights, but with a slightly revised design. In terms of riding ergonomics, the 2023 Street Triple R and RS now have 12mm wider handlebars. Compared with R, RS has a steeper slope.
The exhaust is also new and sounds better than before. However, it’s now a one-piece unit, which means owners won’t be able to put on loafers because. Instead, they’ll have to buy a more expensive full-system exhaust. Triumph has also made extensive updates to the engine. It now has a new combustion chamber, higher compression ratio, higher cylinder pressure limitation and new pistons. The result is 118 bhp for the Street Triple R and 128 bhp for the Street Triple RS. Torque output rises from 79 Nm to 80 Nm. The motorcycle’s transmission has also been revised for improved acceleration and responsiveness.

Triumph has also optimized cornering ABS and switchable traction control. The Street Triple R has four riding modes including Road, Rain and Sport. The RS, on the other hand, has five riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport, Rider and Track. The tech onboard these motorcycles includes Bluetooth functionality, shift assist up and down quick shifters, ride-by-wire throttle, immobilizers, and more.
