TVS Motor Company reported sales of 2,76,150 units last month, compared with 2,81,714 units a year earlier. The company’s iQube electric scooter hit record monthly sales last month with a record 15,522 units, compared with 2,238 units sold in February 2022. The electric scooter is now available at 200 touchpoints in more than 100 cities. The automaker claimed it sold more than 10,000 electric scooters for the fourth straight month.
The company registered a total of 267,026 two-wheeler sales last month, compared with 267,625 in February 2022. In the domestic market, sales of two-wheelers rose by 28% to 221,402 units sold last month from 173,198 units in February 2022.
Motorcycle sales were 126,243 last month compared to 143,523 in February 2022, while scooter sales rose 21% from 86,616 in February 2022 to 104,825 last month.
The company exported a total of 53,405 vehicles last month, compared with 107,574 in February 2022. Exports of two-wheelers stood at 45,624 units last month, compared with 94,427 units a year earlier.
