TVS Motors reported its November 2022 wholesale figures, with the company selling 277,123 vehicles, a 2% increase from the 272,693 sold in November 2021. The Hosur-based manufacturer’s sales were driven by two-wheelers at 263,642 units, but sales in the electric vehicle segment saw a big spike. The company’s only electric vehicle currently on sale, the TVS iQube, hit an all-time high with monthly sales of 10,056 units. Considering the company only sold 699 iQubes in November 2021, that’s a huge increase.

In terms of two-wheeler sales, TVS increased by 2% compared to the 257,863 units sold in November 2021. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 9 percent to 191,730 units, up from 175,940 units a year earlier. Motorcycles remain the largest contributor at 145,006 units in November 2022, up 4% from 140,097 in November last year. Scooters grew 12% year-over-year, with sales increasing from 75,022 in November 2021 to 83,679 in November this year.
However, 85,134 vehicles were exported last month, down 12% from the 96,000 vehicles the company exported overseas in November 2021. Exports of two-wheelers stood at 71,912 units last month, compared with 81,923 units in November 2021. Finally, TVS’ three-wheeler sales in November this year were flat at 13,481 units, compared to 14,830 units in the same month last year.
