Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette recently launched their second-generation F77 electric motorcycle. They took their time during the pandemic and completely updated the motorcycle.The manufacturer is already accepting F77 pre-orders for a nominal amount ¥23,000. Now, Ultraviolette is launching the F77 on November 24, and here’s what we know so far about the electric motorcycle.
Ultraviolet F77: Riding range
According to IDC, the F77 has a high-end range of up to 300 kilometers. Lower variants will have less range. The battery architecture and BMS are designed and developed by Ultraviolette itself.
Ultraviolet F77: battery pack
The battery capacity of the F77 is 2.5 times higher than that of the existing EV 2W in India and has the highest battery capacity among all EV 2W in India. It measures 10.5 kWh. The battery pack is also IP67 rated for water and dust resistance. It has 21,700 high energy density cells.
Ultraviolet F77: Variants
The F77 will be offered in three variants. There’s air strikes, lasers, and shadows. They will have different riding ranges and likely different power outputs as well. There may be some cosmetic differences and different feature sets between the three variants.
Ultraviolet F77: Hardware
The frame of the F77 is suspended by an inverted fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle’s swingarm has been updated. Braking duties are performed by front and rear discs.
Ultraviolet F77: Features
In terms of functionality, the F77 will feature full LED lighting. There will be a TFT display that can display various information to the rider. The switch will be backlit. Ultraviolette should also offer a mobile app in the future.
Ultraviolet F77: launch
The manufacturer will unveil the F77 on November 24. It will be launched first in Bengaluru and later in other cities.
