With an update, the Hero XPulse 200 should be able to use OBD2.

The biggest feature update the XPulse 200 has received is a “Riding Mode,” which we expect to be ABS mode. So far, motorcycles have been equipped with single-channel ABS. However, with the update, the XPulse will get dual-channel ABS. Three ABS modes will be available: – Road, Off Road and Rally. Expect ABS to be active on both wheels in road mode; off-road with ABS off at the rear wheels; and rally mode with ABS off on both wheels.

In addition to this, the motorcycle will also feature a new LED headlamp that should offer better spread and projection. In addition to this, the motorcycle will also get a new windshield, which is taller and should provide better wind protection. There will also be new knuckle guards and switchgear. The final update will be a new color scheme, expected to be inspired by Hero’s rally bike.

The motorcycle is now expected to be BS6 Stage 2 compliant and OBD2 ready. However, there won’t be any changes to the engine. It will continue to be an oil-cooled 199.6 cc single-cylinder engine. It produces 18.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The duty transmission is a 5-speed unit.

As of now, the Hero XPulse 200 is priced at ¥1,38,766 (ex-showroom). Prices are expected to rise slightly once the updated motorcycles become official.
