Hero MotoCorp’s electric sub-brand Vida has announced that they will be offering the V1 in two new color options. Available in cyan and black. So far, the Vida V1 Plus is only available in white and red, while the V1 Pro is available in white, red and orange. The new color scheme should help increase the scooter’s road appeal. Also, the teal color scheme can make the scooter stand out from the crowd compared to other electric scooters.
Manufacturers recently had to raise prices on electric scooters ¥6,000, as subsidies for electric scooters have been reduced.Electric scooters are now available for ¥1,45,900 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).In cities like New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara, the electric scooter now retails for ¥1,25,900 (ex-showroom). Price includes available FAME II subsidy and portable charger.
The Ministry of Heavy Industry lowered the maximum subsidy ceiling for electric two-wheelers from 40% to 15% of the ex-factory price. The FAME II revision resulted in a reduction in subsidies of approximately ¥The electric two-wheelers cost $32,000 each, but Vida absorbed the bulk of the subsidy reduction, passing only a small portion on to potential buyers.
The Vida V1 Pro is equipped with a 3.94 kWh battery pack and takes about 5 hours and 55 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. The scooter is said to have a range of 110 kilometers on a single charge. It is equipped with a 6 kW electric motor that produces a continuous output of 3.9 kW. It can accelerate from standstill to 40 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h.

The Vida V1 Plus, on the other hand, has a 3.44 kWh battery pack that takes 5 hours and 15 minutes to charge from 0% to 80%. It can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.4 seconds, and the actual cruising range is about 100 km. Torque, power output and top speed are the same as the Vida V1 Pro.
