Speaking of its design, this EV looks compact and modern compared to other current VW models. The sharp and smooth LED headlights blend perfectly with the front fascia, which appears to have either a chrome frame or a black section. The headlamps top with stylish LED daytime running lights. Being an EV, it has an enclosed panel instead of a traditional radiator grille. The design of the 20-inch alloy wheels sitting under the raised wheel arches is not very noticeable when moving rearward; it has a thick LED light strip that runs through the center of the tailgate and connects the taillights. Additionally, a roof spoiler and rear windshield wipers can be seen in the images.

Inside the cabin, the EV Concept’s design is clean and simple thanks to a relatively clean dashboard, bridge-style center console, twin rectangular displays (including a 12.9-inch central touchscreen with a new menu structure) and a 10.9-inch digital cockpit. In addition, there is a large panoramic sunroof. Other features include a head-up display, a separate climate control panel with illuminated buttons below the main screen, and twin large inductive charging ports for smartphones on the center console. It also has a rotary dial on the center console that allows the driver to control various vehicle functions.

Volkswagen claims the car features power seats with massage function and a new multifunction steering wheel with dual thumbwheels and buttons. It has numerous USB-C ports scattered throughout the cabin.

Talking about the powertrain, Volkswagen says it has the ID. 2all will be on par with the base Golf GTI, offering a range of 450km on a single charge. Its front-axle-mounted electric motor produces a peak power of 222 horsepower, enabling the EV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than seven seconds. Using a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged 10-80% in 20 minutes.
