In the first phase of development, the 1 GWh assembly line will ensure direct control over the quality and standards of lithium-ion battery packs, Wardwizard said. The company has rolled out the first batch of locally assembled battery packs from the new production line. Local assembly should also translate into better economies of scale, which in turn should lead to better pricing of the company’s products.

Elaborating on the development, Yatin Gupte, Chairman and Managing Director of Wardwizard Innovations Mobility Ltd., said, “We are pleased to announce the start of our battery assembly line, which is an overall goal for the fiscal year 2022-2023. As we observe “With the growing demand for electric vehicles, quality and safety are top priorities, and with our in-house battery assembly line, Wardwizard is one step closer to contributing to EVolution. This step will further make electric vehicles more affordable than ever before.” We are actively working on expanding our capacity for battery components and will begin manufacturing other components in the near future, including chassis, motor and steel components, and lithium-ion batteries.”

In addition, Wardwizard plans to expand its R&D operations and production of electronic components in EV auxiliary clusters. The company recently launched the Mihos electric scooter in the market and plans to launch a series of new products to compete with TVS, Okinawa, Bajaj and others in the electric two-wheeler segment.
