With its range of electric vehicles, Tesla is undoubtedly the pole holder in the global electric vehicle market. After launching EVs like the Model S, Model Y, Model X, and Model 3, the American electric carmaker is now gearing up to launch its highly anticipated Cybertruck electric pickup truck. In addition, the auto company also appears to be developing an all-electric bus, but this will be designed for Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s other company, The Boring Company.
A video circulating online shows a prototype of Tesla’s electric van. The user claimed that it was a Tesla Transit Car designed for The Boring Company. The image shows the Tesla minibus in the form of a transparent pod surrounded by high-strength glass to provide passengers with a 360-degree view. The vehicle has the company logo on the steering wheel.

It appears that the vehicle is in a very early stage of development. It has a large glass area and looks like an autonomous shuttle bus. The car has a total of 12 seats, including a driver’s seat. The image doesn’t show whether the vehicle has wheels mounted under a flat floor. The user who posted the video online described it as a secret Tesla van prototype designed for the Vegas Loop. It’s similar to a concept car The Boring Company unveiled in 2017 as a preview of a 12-seat vehicle it designed for its Las Vegal Loop system.
Interestingly, Tesla mentioned robot taxis as early as 2016 in the second part of Tesla’s master plan. The miniature electric bus that went viral in the latest video could be part of it. However, neither Tesla nor Elon Musk himself has officially revealed anything about the matter.
