A brand new car comes with a lot of excitement. But in one particular incident, within three hours of delivery, the excitement of a brand-new Tesla Model S owner turned into a nightmare. TeslaCam footage reveals how a faulty Honda forced the driver of a brand new Tesla Model S to make a right turn and side-slam a semi truck.
The video shows the owner receiving the Tesla Model S at 9:30 a.m., just three hours before the electric luxury sedan crashed. The video also shows the owner would rather pick up and drive home his brand new car than pay the $1,400 shipping fee. However, he may have regretted the decision just hours later.

The video further shows that everything was going well until a driver driving the wrong way suddenly appeared in front of the Tesla. The driver of the old Honda Accord made no effort to avoid the collision, prompting the owner of the Tesla Model S to immediately veer into the right lane. In the process, he sidewiped the front wheel of a UPS semi truck. As a result, the electric sedan was thrown into a highway barrier before being crushed by a semi-truck. As a result of the crash, the entire front end, including the Model S’s trunk, was torn from the car, while the tires were torn from the wheels, and all air bags deployed.
Video posted on the Wham Baam Teslacam Youtube channel shows the crash happened at 12.20pm, less than three hours after the owner delivered the car. The channel also said that despite such a severe crash of a Tesla Model S, the owner survived the accident, which is also because of the top-notch safety measures implemented by Tesla vehicles.
