Yamaha has recently updated its range of motorcycles to comply with BS6 Stage 2 standards. One of the newer motorcycles from the Japanese manufacturer is the FZ-S FI. The direct competitor of the FZ-S FI is the Bajaj Pulsar P150, which is the most affordable new generation Pulsar out there. Here is a comparison between the Pulsar P150 and the Yamaha FZ-S FI.

Yamaha FZ-S FI vs Bajaj Pulsar P150: Looks

Once again, Yamaha didn’t change the look of the FZ-S FI. It still retains the beefy fuel tank, wide 140-knot rear tire and aggressive design. However, Yamaha did introduce a new LED headlight for the 2023 model year with new LED daytime running lights and LED turn indicators. The Pulsar P150, on the other hand, is brand new. It shares its underpinnings with the larger Pulsar N250 and N160. It gets new LED headlights with a projector setup, while the taillights are shared with the sibling.

The FZ-S FI is powered by a 149 cc engine producing 12.23 bhp at 7,250 rpm and a peak torque output of 13.3 Nm at 5.500 rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The Pulsar P150 is powered by a 149.68 cc engine producing 14.3 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 13.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine on the Pulsar P150 is one of the smoothest available and is known for its torquey powerband.

The Pulsar P150 comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster, a cut away side stand and a USB socket. The FZ-S FI comes with an updated LCD instrument cluster, supports Bluetooth connectivity and traction control, and also offers side stand cutouts.

The Pulsar P150 is available in two models.There is a single disc that costs ¥117,000 and Dual Disc, priced at ¥120000. The FZ-S FI is also available in two models.The standard price is ¥121,000 and luxury decoration cost ¥124,000. All prices are ex-showroom prices.
